Lambchow: 2025 in Review
By the numbers, 2025 was one of Lambchow’s best years. We always recognize, however, that numbers alone never capture the true impact of this small ministry.
In 2025:
- 24,415 articles were read on our website
- 146,043 emails were opened
- 22,031 Bible studies were downloaded
- 449 prayer requests were received
Since the beginning, we have counted “seeds.” Each article read, email opened, and Bible study lesson downloaded represents a seed sown. In 2025 alone, we sowed 298,757 seeds, bringing the ministry total to 1,429,975.
Put another way, over the years, we have recorded nearly 700,000 articles read and more than 115,000 Bible study eBooks distributed.
This represented significant growth over the previous year and established a new single-year record. Two factors drove that growth. The first was a substantial—but one-time—budget increase. We affectionately call this Dad’s year, as a portion of his inheritance was given to the ministry. The second was a massive wave of downloads in September. Roughly 40% of all Bible study downloads occurred in that single month.
Financial Overview
In its current form, Lambchow requires approximately $2,000 annually to cover website hosting, email services, and other base expenses. In 2025, we also spent about $3,600 on Google advertising.
We do not sell materials, solicit donations, or sell advertising. There were no partner contributions this year. We did receive approximately $125 in donations from book sales during a two-night seminar at our home church.
Audience Reach
With the newer cost-saving tools we’ve begun using, it has become more difficult to track reader nationality through email metrics. However, website traffic provides helpful insight.
Our top ten countries for website visitors in 2025 were:
- Nigeria
- Kenya
- Ethiopia
- Uganda
- China (a surprise)
- United States
- Philippines
- Zambia
- Ghana
- South Africa
African nations and the Philippines are expected, given our advertising focus. China’s presence in the top ten was unexpected—traffic from China was minimal until the fourth quarter.
Looking Ahead to 2026
The coming year will bring several changes. I will be retiring from full-time employment in August. Additionally, Google is enforcing new rules that make targeted advertising for religious materials increasingly difficult. As a result, all advertising is currently paused.
We will continue sending our three-times-a-week email devotions, and the website will remain active. I also plan to move the site to a less robust (and less expensive) hosting plan and reduce optional services where possible.
Our Ongoing Purpose
Over its twelve-year history, Lambchow’s purpose has remained unchanged:
“Now the goal of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.”
—1 Timothy 1:5 (CSB)
We have planted seeds, and God has caused them to grow. Until now, much of our outreach has come through the Forgiveness Bible Study and the Hope Bible Study. Going forward, our growth focus will shift from advertising to strengthening our email list and social media presence. This will involve updating our templates to highlight website resources and encouraging readers to invite others to subscribe.
As we said at the beginning, numbers never tell the whole story. The real growth happens in everyday walks with Jesus. Many times this past year, we received emails describing how an article or lesson was God-sent—bringing spiritual insight, changed attitudes, forgiveness extended, grace offered, or a renewed desire to follow Christ.
